The starting screen of Super Mario Maker 2 greets with two game play modes at a time: Build Story and Level Universe. If the second is more or less understandable, the Story Story is a complete story driven campaign. Besides Mario, three basic instruments act as main heroes – an eyedropper that talks to a player, a back key in the form of a little dog, and a delete-all key in the shape of a missile. The crew of Thoad workers enjoy the beauties of Peach’s Castle at the end of a long day of hard work, but then the very same doggy comes rushing out into the bush, triggers the “rocket” button and the Princess’ Castle crumbles to pieces. Mario now must freelance, collect cash and build his girlfriend’s castle again from scratch.
